On December 15th, 1999, CeaRosa was founded in the city of São Benedito, state of Ceará, city placed circa 300 km from the state capitol, Fortaleza.
The farm is 760 thousand square meters big. In this area, we have 75 thousand square meters of greenhouses constructed and producing fresh cut roses daily. In our farm, the 7,5 hectares in production are divided in 5 Blocks of production and we also have a Nursing greenhouse, 5 thousand square meters big, where we harvest many varieties for testing.
The productivity varies between 100 and 250 roses per square meter per year, depending on the variety planted. We choose always the best varieties to produce, following the market tendencies and also varieties that present the best characteristics, and that better adapt to our climate and environmental conditions.
The part at the Ibiapaba Mountains which is placed CeaRosa has the ideal luminosity to plant roses: 12 hours per day of sunshine. Besides that, the average temperatures in that place go from 17 to 30 degrees Celsius. The region climate is mountainous, and divided in two main seasons: rainy season (with average of 1 thousand cubic millimeters per year) and dry season (with many winds).
